Some cultures regard it as auspicious to mehndi / henna when pregnant, some regard it as extremely unlucky. It certainly does no harm to mehndi / henna a pregnant women, as long as you use only natural pure mehndi / henna, with a very simple recipe. Large pregnant bellies, however, may have very thin, new skin, that do not take mehndi / henna particularly well.
