Excellence in the Art of Mehndi

HISTORY

What does mehndi / henna look like?
Mehndi / henna when applied to the hands, is a very intricate pattern that resembles a tattoo, and it can extend up the arms to the
elbow as well as from the foot to above the ankle in bridal mehndi / henna. The color ranges from a light red-orange to nearly black.
We have numerous examples of mehndi / henna on this site . . . Art Gallery. You should not be hesitating to get mehndi / henna if
you have dark-colored skin. If your skin is very dark, you should perhaps try to get mehndi / henna done on your palms at first, or do
a small design and take very good care of it. See the results before you decide to go big. Even with people who have light skin,
mehndi / henna can come out with a bad color.
At first glance, after removing the dried paste, the mehndi / henna stain will appear to be a very light, almost neon orange at times
(or a red brown). Whatever the case may be, your design will darken drastically over the next 24 hours, so be sure not to wash your
hands and watch this interesting process take place.
